One of Sony's bluray players, seems like a few use the SMP8634.

Worth a look?

I think all 1st gen BluRay Player are based on SMP8634...

the GPL site of Sony is not so bad, but since all their SMP based products are quite old, also the linux and sigma sources are quite old.
nothing interesting on that site :(
