Title: What can be done so far (T-Home MR 300)?
Post by: jams on 27. Feb 2009, 15:48
1) Most important feature for me would be the ability to stream/transfer videos to the box for playback.  Is it possible to do this or is there any solution being worked on?

2) I would like to be able to transfer the recordings from the box to a pc, but I've seen in one post that it wouldn't be possible to decrypt them. Anyone care to explain why?

3) Would the guide/software for modding the BT-Vision work for the T-Home MR 300?

4)  In the guide for modding it says that the media sharing can be enabled on the box.  What does this mean?

1) partly.. see streaming from internet thread

2) Unsure, it should be possible to, but you need the correct keys / certificate to do this (unique to each box as far as I know)

3) Unsure.

4) It allows the box to connect to a pc and play MP3's or photos stored on the pc.

Thx for the answers mick.

3) Does this mean that there is no mod chip solution for the Media Receiver 300 yet (or that no one has tested this).  Is anyone working on this?  As I said I'm mostly interested in using the media center as a HDMI/video enabled playback device for streaming/external media.

What video video formats do the boxes support.  Is it possible to playback unprotected videos on them? (a good start would be the ability to copy videos to the hdd and play it from there).
