Is there not a way we can set up a proxy so it thinks the connection is coming from a BT broadband connection so it can receive the EPG data.

I have recently recieved a BT Vision DIT9719/05 box and I would like to modify it so I can use it as a freeview recorder without BT broadband. Please help me.
