löten + modchip ist zwingend notwendig für jegliche Änderung an der Software.
Debian wird schwierig, sollte aber machbar sein.... das Sigma SDK basiert allerdings auf uC-Linux ..

strange... the differences to the wrt54g tool are very small.
- added SMP cpu-id,
- a fix for the debug-mode exit
- memory mapping to have access to the ram
- default dump values to get the ram area with the decrypted bootrom
you should be able to use the unchanged tool, with the correct parameters

so you signed your own zboot and it is working ?
I would be surprised, because the cpu keys that you can find on the internet are only the dummy keys from the SDK.
these keys only work if no custom keys were installed on the CPU.

the dump tool is specific to the x300t in regards to the memory location where the decrypted flash is stored in RAM.
this might be different on other boxes.
anyway, the CPU ID should be displayed correctly on any device with a JTAG port.
what kind of cable did you build ?
I also had problems when including a buffer IC... only using resistors seems to give best results (but can also damage parallel port or the SMP)

das layout des Dateisystems hat sich etwas geändert daher gibt es auch keine BooterCE mehr.
nk.bin verändern ist etwas problematisch.
es gibt zwar ein paar tools bei xda-developers.com aber leider ist bei den handys das nk.bin format nicht üblich und daher gibt es kein simples tool womit man direkt etwas zu einem nk.bin hinzufügen kann.
ich würde empfehlen die Dateien lieber direkt auf die Festplatte zu speichern und dann nur die registry datei im nk.bin so anzupassen, dass direkt die exe von der festplatte gestartet wird.
die registry muss sowieso angepasst werden um den signatur check abzuklemmen.

Sind die filme wirklich auf der festplatte verschlüsselt so das ich die platte nicht im rechner einbauen kann und die filme runterziehen kann? Wenn doch wie xD Oder vllt. noch leichter das ich per lan z.b in den recorder reinkomme und die daten über lan runterziehen kann... vllt giebet ja nen hack oder so das ich in die box reinkomme über lan...
die Daten werden so gespeichert wie sie geschickt werden... das heißt, öffentlich-rechtliche Sender schicken alles unverschlüsselt, alle privaten schicken alles verschlüsselt.
also man also was von ZDF aufnimmt, dann könnte man das von der HDD runter bekommen, allerdings ist das deutlich aufwendiger als wenn man den IPTV Stream gleich mit dem PC aufzeichnet,
weil die Daten nicht in Dateien pro Aufnahme gespeichert sind sondern sind verteilt über diverse 1GB Dateien.
über LAN Daten runterziehen geht so auch nicht, aber selbst wenn es gehen würde... der Speed würde dann bei ca. 1-4MB/s liegen
Und die letzte frage^^ Kann man wirklich wie beschreiben ne 1TB platte einbauen so das man halt mehr filme speichern kann ohne das das große probs dastellt?
wie beschrieben geht das... aber wenn die Platte zu viel Strom zieht dann startet die box entweder gar nicht oder läuft nicht stabil.
am wenigsten Probleme sollte man mit ner 2.5" Platte haben. ist von der Lautstärke eh sinnvoller.

also ein normales ubuntu läuft nicht so ohne weiteres, zumindest nicht wenn man ne graphische oberfläche haben will.
ich würd empfehlen die standard sigma-uC-Linux distribution zu nehmen (auch ohne graphische oberfläche)
ein komfortablen mediaplayer gibt es leider nicht mit den sourcen die man bräuchte ..
beim sigma sdk ist ein commandline mediaplayer dabei.... mit dem kann man audio und video dateien abspielen... läuft auch recht gut, aber bedienung ist nur per tastatur möglich.

it is not so easy to get enigma working because all the hardware access is suposed to be done with a closed source user-land lib.
to get enigma, neutrino or vdr running, you need to implement standard linux dvb api drivers, but you cannot? access user-land libs from kernel drivers.
just some days ago there was a new release of Enigma for the AzBox HD, which has the same sigma chip as the mediaroom boxes... but unfortunately the sources for the dvb api drivers are not made available to the public (which really sucks)
I think they reverse-engineered parts of the user-land lib and reimplemented it in a kernel driver

yeah. the bootstrap files do not really contain much.
as Mulder already wrote, the main firmware is loaded from the bootstrap process.

na sicher ist das möglich...
die Frage ist nur ob sich der Aufwand lohnt.
eine fertige Lösung gibt es nicht, aber es ist definitiv zu schaffen wenn man etwas Zeit investiert. (und natürlich vorher die Modchip-Geschichte hinbekommen hat)
ansonsten fährt man definitiv günstiger und schneller wenn man sich z.B. eine WDTV HD Live box für 90eu besorgt.

ich würd mal probieren die Dateien der funktionierenden Festplatte auf die CF zu kopieren.
dann sollte eigentlich kein Neustart mehr kommen... wenn doch, dann gibt es wahrscheinlich ein grundsätzliches Problem mit dem Adapter.

you do not need a circuit board. all wires can be soldered directly to the chip and also the one capacitor can be easily soldered directly to the chip.

du solltest schon genau schreiben welche box du hast...
ich hab selbst nur die alten x300t und x301t, da sollte die platte mit den 6.1W kein problem sein .. wie es mit dem anlaufstrom aussieht bin ich nich sicher... im zweifelsfall ausprobieren.
zu dem Lüfter... die alten boxen hatten überhaupt keine lüfter... und da kann es schon mal vorkommen das sich die wärme staut, was dann entweder zu bildfehlern oder abstürzen führt.
das da dauerhafte schäden bleiben können, hab ich zumindest noch nicht gehört.

the modchip itself does not effect the normal viewing... it is also undetectable
when messing with the gui files, you should always have a backup ready because any small mistake usually causes the gui layout to be badly messed up...

well with the modchip you can modify all files...
something you might be interested in could be the GUI XML files.
there are some options to add "links" to audio and video files hosted on http or MMS servers.
this might work for your streams in question, but I wouldn't bet on it.
modifications to the executable would allow to record programs that are usually not allowed to record... or to disable the PIN for adult programs
